The research center is an infrastructure component of
the Department of Computer Science from Western University of Timisoara,
Faculty of Mathematics. It includes universitary diplomates which are
involved in research activities in Computer Science.
The main purposes of the center are the following ones:
- to create and atract groups of researchers with
similar research interest
- to adopt and promovate the latest technologies in
computer science
- to integrate theorical activities with applications
- to stimulate the team spririt and research
activities of students in computer science
- to compete for national and international research
projects
- to win national and international recognision of
the competence in team's interest fields
- to stimulate the interest in research activities in
the west side of the country
- to focus the research potential towards clear
directions
- to realize a stimulating and creative atmosphere
- to concentrate and intensive use high performance
computing resources
- to promovate and stimulate inovative ideas.
